The Availability of Palmaris Longus Tendon highlighted in the wrist
For each test, check the box if the tendon is present in your wrist. You will see a protrusion if the tendon is present.
For this test, make a fist with the thumb inside the fingers and flex wrist. A protrusion indicates the presence of the tendon.
For this test, oppose the thumb to little finger ( pinky finger ) and flex wrist. A protrusion indicates the presence of the tendon.
For this test, passively hyperextend all fingers at metacarpophalangeal joint and flex wrist. A protrusion indicates the presence of the tendon.
For this test, fully extend the interphalangeal joints of the index and middle fingers then to flex the wrist and other fingers (make a V sign). A protrusion indicates the presence of the tendon.
